Alan Burns Answers the Burning Questions

Updated: Dec 11, 2019

Alan Burns has worked with some of the biggest radio brands in North America. His company, Alan Burns & Associates has been producing the "What Women Want" survey for a number of years; reflecting his clients needs. (A quick scan of his client list shows a lot of CHR and HOT AC stations)

Recently, he (along with Mark Ramsey) have raised concerns about increased headphone usage and the lack of PPM ability to count those listens. I spoke with Alan about those items and asked a few burning questions I have been thinking about when it comes to radio. He doesn't waste any time in getting down to the nitty gritty of he thinks.

This episode is brought to you by PromoSuite Next. For over 25 years you've known PromoSuite as radio's original promotions management system. Helping promotions teams and programmers manage their contest winners, liners, sales, requests, remotes, prize fulfilment, and much more. Today over 2,500 radio stations across the United States and Canada use PromoSuite Next.

At the end of this episode, I played a segment from Lauren Hunter from Sonic 102.9. I also added a few comments about it.
